The network's Premier Fresh Series of This Year Earns a Substantial Renewal for Two More Seasons.
Last October, the late-night programming block debuted a new season of its offbeat hit, Smiling Friends. On December 18th, the network confirmed a big renewal: Haha, You Clowns has been renewed for two additional seasons. The series centers on three well-mannered teenage brothers whose central trait is their profound affection for their single father, with Cappa voicing for all four main characters.

At the time, creator Joe Cappa expressed his goal to move the comedy genre beyond its long-running layer of irony. He attributed this trend to the rise of certain blockbuster franchises.
“There's this level of irony that we keep returning to,” said Cappa. “It feels as if we have to know we’re the smartest person in the room when we're watching stuff. I feel like we've been doing this for 10 years, and we just have to laugh at something different now. It's time for comedy to grow.”
