Dan Burn A constant threat on corners and free-kicks, per usual, but may be an alternative for Stones in defense instead of paired with him. One wayward pass after the break came close to an opener from Albania. 6

Nico O’Reilly One more confident showing by the 20-year-old following his initial appearance against Serbia. Saka was unable to take the most of a gorgeous flick over the opposing backline. The left-back spot is his to lose already. 7/10

The newcomer A debut start in an England shirt. Somewhat sloppy on the ball however his inswinging set-pieces posed a danger. An effective pace-controller available to the boss to have against teams who drop deep. Booked for a rash tackle. 6

Declan Rice Deliveries from corners and free-kicks created chances. Enjoyed license to move down the left flank only to be in an offside position as the pass came in front of goal. Granted a merited substitution on the hour mark. 6

Jude Bellingham Functioned in a forward role out wide while also did plenty of dirty work. Displayed moments of class but dragged an effort wide. Withdrawn towards the end by Rogers, his rival, after being booked. 7/10

The winger Was presented with the team's clearest opportunity before halftime, his shot excellently kept out by the Albanian keeper. With Quansah staying deep, he was forced to provide width on the right yet his deliveries from the touchline were hit and miss. Replaced for the final quarter-hour. 6/10

The captain The match-winner with his 77th and 78th finishes at international level. The opener a trademark close-range tap-in while the second a classy headed goal after peeling away off his defender. At 32, he continues to improve and the side are strong contenders next summer with him up top. 8/10

The attacker Struggled to influence play out wide. Was presented with a good opening when set up by the midfielder but the keeper denied him. Rashford had a greater influence after coming on. 5
